Every single day our bodies are accumulating toxins. We are accumulating toxins through the air we breath, the toxins in our environment, the foods we eat, and even the thoughts we think. It's safe to say that many of us are experiencing toxic overload. With so much information online about cleansing and detoxing, it can get a bit overwhelming. With the fundamentals I am about to share with you, you will know the basics for living a healthy lifestyle.

When we think about these elements, we can use the rule of four. We can survive only 4 minutes without air, four days without water, and four weeks without food. If you are trying to live a healthier lifestyle, it's important to learn how to work with these elements.
Over 70% of the toxins in our bodies are eliminated through our lungs. Each breath we take, we are eliminating toxins. To enhance the level of elimination through our lungs, we want to intentionally breath deeply. I encourage all of my clients to focus on taking at least 10 deep breaths daily to encourage detoxification.
I'm sure you already have an idea about the importance of water but somehow you're still struggling to drink enough. Here is a simple equation to use to calculate your recommended daily water intake.
Take your body weight in pounds and divide that number by 2. The sum of that equation is the amount of water you should be drinking daily.
For example, if you weigh 150 pounds. To calculate your body weight you would divide 150 by 2. The sum would be 75. Take that number and change into ounces. You should be drinking a minimum of 75 ounces of water daily.
An ancient proverb says, let you food be your medicine and medicine be your food. Food should be your first defense against illness and the main ingredient in keeping your body healthy and strong. To cleanse daily, you should consume foods that are natural and unprocessed such fruits and vegetables. You should also consume fruit with a high water content to cleanse your body.
These are three simple but very essential ways to cleansing your body. Over the course of the next few days, be mindful about how often and deep you breath, how much water you drink and the quality of food you eat. Once you are mindful of your habits you are able to change and replace them.
